Suyu emulator

Suyu Prod Keys — Download & Install prod.keys

Suyu continues the Yuzu codebase, so it inherits Yuzu's key format exactly: one standard prod.keys file, placed in Suyu's own keys folder.

Suyu emerged as a community continuation of Yuzu and it inherits the same practical requirement — a current prod.keys file in Suyu’s keys folder before any commercial game will boot. This page collects everything specific to Suyu: the download, the folder per platform, and the quirks that show up in support threads.

Download prod keys for Suyu

The current release, v23.0.0, covers every key generation from v16.1.0 upward, so it also " "boots older titles. One file serves suyu and every other emulator on your machine.

Suyu install paths

Place the file at the location below. The filename must be exactly prod.keys — a trailing " ".txt is the most common reason an emulator reports no keys at all.

Installing keys in Suyu, step by step

  1. Download the latest prod.keys from the homepage download table.
  2. Close Suyu completely. On Android, swipe it out of the recents list rather than just leaving the screen.
  3. Copy the file into the keys folder for your platform.
  4. Launch Suyu and open Emulation → Configure → System to confirm the keys were detected.
  5. Install matching firmware for commercial titles — see the firmware guide.

Errors Suyu prints, and what they mean

“Key file is missing” on launchThe file is not in Suyu's keys folder, or it picked up a .txt extension on download.Re-download and rename to exactly prod.keys.

What makes Suyu different

Moderate key validation

Suyu's checks sit between Ryujinx's strict validation and Eden's permissive one. It will often boot with a partial key set, which hides a bad dump instead of rejecting it — useful for convenience, less useful for diagnosis.

Android folder is created on first launch

On Android the keys directory may not exist until Suyu has run once. Either launch Suyu before copying keys or create the directory yourself in Internal Storage/SuYu.

Active development

Suyu tracks current firmware generations, so a current dump pairs cleanly with the newest releases. See emulator compatibility for how it compares.

How Suyu compares to other emulators

The same prod.keys file you use here also works in every other Switch emulator, so a clean " "install here means the rest of your setup is ready too. Key strictness, firmware dependency and platform " "support are compared side by side in the emulator compatibility " "guide, and the installation guide lists every folder for " "every emulator in one table.
